About this event

Come along to the University of Liverpool’s Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) final to celebrate the exciting research conducted by PGRs at the University of Liverpool!

The final will showcase the excellent research undertaken by doctoral researchers at Liverpool and will provide an opportunity for the audience to join in a lively and interactive discussion on 'The Dark Arts of Q&As' with advice and tips about how to handle those awkward questions at conferences.

The Three Minute Thesis competition (3MT®) challenges doctoral researchers to present their research in just three minutes, using just one PowerPoint slide. Support our finalists and have your say on the day, by voting for your favourite presentation for the people’s choice award. There will also be an opportunity for conversations and practice sharing through a networking lunch (catering provided).

By the end of this session, participants will :

• Be inspired by the excellent and impactful research of Liverpool doctoral researchers.

• Feel confident about handling difficult and awkward questions after research presentations.

• Have had the opportunity to connect with peers and colleagues across the University.

Please note there will be a photographer at the event, there will be consent forms available on the day.
